The only thing good with the hotel was the staff.

Not in a central location, a good walk into the centre of Hamburg. The photos are misleading making it out to be right on the river, which would suggest right in the centre. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel, would class it more as a 2 Star, although the room was comfortable the facilities in the hotel do not warrant a 4 star rating! Have stayed in Hamburg many times and was very dissappointed with the hotel. The hotel is very tired and could do with a 'lick' of paint to the outside. We also had to ask for more towels as only 1 bath towel and 2 hand towels provided, not ideal when there are 2 adults in a room! Also, as we are English we thought there would be at least 1 english speaking channel on the tv, not one was in English, we at least thought we would get the bbc news channel! There are also no restaurants at all in this area, you have to walk or catch a taxi into the centre of Hamburg. I Would not recommend this hotel and on our next visit will choose a more central location.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly, and all in all it was nice

The hotel looked nice but did not work. The bed was the worse bed i have tried to sleep on for a very long time - more like a hammock. The fan worked like a propeller engine - loud and whenever it wanted. The TV was something out of the past century. Then, when we went to check out, the desk seemed unconcerned about our discomfort and refused to take payment by cc in Euros. They insisted that our bill had to be converted to dollars at an inflated rate and agree to a fee for processing it in dollars. Then, the receipt given me said that all of this was done at my request and could not be changed. This is the kind of place that should be excluded from your listings and/or demoted to a one or two star hotel. We were very disappointed and feel ripped off.

It was clean and the rooms were nice and big.

The room was fine, clean and quite large -- the reception staff in particular were very helpful and knowledgeable

This is a nice hotel for people on a budget -- it was very classy and the rooms are reasonably large. The bathroom was very nice and very clean. Although it is located between two very busy roads, it was very quiet inside. We had a lovely stay here. It's fairly close to the train station but, although the directions seem clear, we kept missing the turn off and walking extra distance. Hamburg seems full of dead ends and convoluted streets -- be forewarn; you will get lost! We did not try the breakfast (extra cost). There is a fee to use the WiFi but a free computer is provided in the lobby. We chose this hotel because of our limited budget and it was a really nice surprise to get so much comfort for the price. Friendly staff.

No complaints. It is a very nice little hotel, near the train station. The only negative is that the WiFi isn't free and breakfast is extra. Nothing else to complain about.

A very noisy location. An alone women would feel confortable in the last 300 m. walk to the hotel. Delay with an hour by check-in.

The room was clean and there were little packets of gummi bears on the beds.

The hotel is very close to the train tracks and on a major road. Even with good insulating windows it is still quite noisy. The advertisement promises a queen-sized bed in the double rooms, but we only had 2 double beds pushed together. When I asked a staff member about it they were rude and unhelpful, denied that their room description makes this claim, and said that they have no rooms with queen-sized beds available anyway. I was less than impressed with the service.

it was a warm friendly quiet comfortable hotel.

The room was pretty comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the facilities were good (there was a decent tv and a small fridge to store food in, which was very useful).

The staff were a bit pompous, the carpet in the room was pretty dirty and the location wasn't brilliant - although it's near the centre it's still a good 10-15min walk and there are no buses or tram stations particularly nearby.

The hotel is located in a quite area , yet not too far away from the city area . Its about 15 mins leisure walk to the main train station and the big electronics store .Saturn. Hotel staff are helpful and the rooms clean .
